Shan's Generalized Policy

Purpose

At Shan's Soothing Hands, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and rejuvenating environment for our clients. Our policies are designed to ensure the best possible experience for everyone while complying with Michigan laws and regulations.

1. Appointment Scheduling and Cancellation

- Appointments can be scheduled via phone, online, or in person.  

- Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.  

- Failure to cancel within the required time may result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service.

2. Client Intake and Health Information

- All clients are required to complete an intake form before their first session.  

- Please inform your therapist of any medical conditions, injuries, or medications that may impact your treatment.

3. Session Conduct

- We respectfully request that clients refrain from chewing gum during the session.  

- Clients must remove all jewelry before the massage and dress comfortably to maximize relaxation.

4. Payment Policy

- Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash and credit/debit cards only.  

- Prices are subject to change; clients will be informed in advance of any adjustments.

5. Privacy and Confidentiality

- All client information is confidential and will not be shared without consent.  

- We are committed to maintaining your privacy and ensuring a safe space for your wellness journey.

6. Respectful Environment

- Shan's Soothing Hands promotes a respectful and inclusive environment. Any behavior that is disruptive or disrespectful will not be tolerated.

7. Feedback and Complaints

- We value your feedback and aim to continually improve our services. Please reach out directly if you have any concerns during or after your session.

8. Special Considerations

- For prenatal massages, clients must inform their therapist of their pregnancy status and any health concerns.  

- Clients with specific health conditions should consult their physician before receiving massage therapy.

9. Media Content Policy

- Shan's Soothing Hands may utilize pictures and videos of sessions for promotional content across our marketing platforms, including social media.  

- Clients will be asked for consent before any images or videos are taken during their session.  

- If you prefer not to have your image used in any promotional materials, please let us know before your session.

10. Liability Disclaimer

- Clients acknowledge that massage therapy is a complementary health practice and is not a substitute for medical treatment.  

- Shan's Soothing Hands, its staff, and its therapists are not liable for any injuries, damages, or negative outcomes that may result from the services provided.  

- Clients are responsible for their own health decisions and must consult a medical professional regarding any health concerns.

- As we grow, we aim to establish our own facility and build a dedicated team of professionals. We appreciate your support on this journey.
